Alisa B. Kennedy

Alisa B. Kennedy is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate Law practice and a member of the Tax Advantaged Investing Practice, based in the Denver office. She has extensive experience in transactional tax, finance, and real estate matters, with specific knowledge of state and federal housing tax credits, historic tax credits, energy credits, tax-exempt bond financing, and commercial mortgage-backed securities.

Ms. Kennedy's practice focuses on real estate and finance transactions with particular emphasis on community and mixed-use developments, affordable housing, and public-private partnerships. She represents some of the biggest institutional investors in the Low Income Housing Tax Credit market, advising financial institutions and insurance companies on tax-oriented investments, proprietary investment funds, multi-investor funds, structured product investing, and secondary market transactions. She counsels clients on acquisitions, debt originations, syndications, asset management, restructurings, and year 15 exit strategies.

Alisa holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1998), a J.D. from the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver (1996), and a B.A., cum laude, in Environmental Biology from the University of Colorado (1992). She serves on the Board of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition.
