Alfonse Muglia

Alfonse Muglia is a Senior Managing Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice at Dentons in Short Hills. With a robust focus on complex commercial litigation, he specializes in matters involving insurance, reinsurance, product liability, and complex torts.

At the intersection of tort and insurance law, he represents clients in claims involving negligence, strict liability, fiduciary duties, breach of contract, insurance coverage disputes, and extracontractual disputes. His experience spans state and federal courts, as well as commercial arbitration, covering every phase of litigation from case evaluation to trial and appellate processes. He advises insurers on coverage disputes involving commercial property, business income, general liability, product liability, professional liability, commercial auto, workers' compensation, environmental, and employment practices liability. He also represents cedents and reinsurers in complex reinsurance arbitration and advises on data security, state regulatory matters, and contractual disputes.

He holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations, with honors and a minor in Economics, from Cornell University (2014), and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2017), where he served as Submissions Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy and received Special Pro Bono Distinction.
