Melissa Sarsten Polito

Melissa Sarsten Polito is a Managing Associate in Dentons' Commercial Litigation practice group in Short Hills, focusing on complex litigation and arbitration for large commercial enterprises in federal and state courts.

She has handled a broad range of business-oriented substantive law issues, including antitrust, healthcare litigation, contract and commercial disputes, trademark and copyright infringement, unfair competition, defamation and First Amendment controversies. Prior to joining Dentons, she served as an associate for a national law firm and as a law clerk for the Honorable Greta Gooden Brown of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.

Melissa earned her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers Law School (2021), where she interned for Justice Anne M. Patterson of the Supreme Court of New Jersey and for judges of the New Jersey Superior Court. She holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from the College of St. Elizabeth (2018). She also worked for a national news network, helping develop proactive litigation risk management strategies.

She is a member of the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC) and serves as President of the Legal Program Board for Covenant House New Jersey.
