Whitney Mosby

Whitney Mosby is a Partner at Dentons, specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. With over 20 years of experience, she represents banks, credit unions, and other lenders in bankruptcy, collection, and restructuring matters, including Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases, receiverships, mortgage foreclosure actions, litigation, and out‑of‑court workouts.

Whitney has extensive transactional experience in loan documentation, secured transactions, and real estate issues, and often serves as outside general counsel for financial institutions. Notable matters include representing First Merchants Bank in a Branch Purchase and Assumption Agreement valued at approximately US$281 million; advising OrthoPediatrics Corp. on a US$100 million private financing and a US$22 million acquisition; and successfully arguing the Indiana Supreme Court case Claybridge Homeowners Association v. Deborah Walton. She has defended lender liability claims, advised special servicers on multi‑million dollar commercial real estate loans, and represented receivers and indenture trustees in bankruptcy and foreclosure matters.

Whitney holds a J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (2002) and a B.A. in Psychology with highest distinction from Indiana University (1999). She is admitted to practice in Indiana and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
