Tony K. Lu

Tony K. Lu is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He regularly represents clients in trade secret, intellectual property, complex commercial, employment, cross‑border, and insurance disputes, with particular depth in trade secret litigation, helping clients protect confidential information, enforce restrictive covenants, and defend against misappropriation claims.

Tony has a strong track record of achieving favorable results through settlements, dismissals, summary judgments, trials, and appeals. Notable matters include serving as counsel to an independent service organization in a four‑week federal trial involving trade secret and antitrust claims, widely followed as a significant "right to repair" dispute in the medical device industry (Philips v. TEC Holdings); obtaining a defense verdict following a three‑week federal trial in PolyOne Corp. v. Lu; obtaining dismissals of Lanham Act, copyright infringement, and COVID‑19 business interruption claims for life insurance and technology clients; and securing judgments and appellate affirmances in life insurance beneficiary disputes. He has also represented clients in cross‑border real estate disputes, private equity litigation, and high‑stakes arbitrations.

Tony holds a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law (2010), where he served on the editorial board of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal, and a B.A., cum laude, from Skidmore College (2005). He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Colorado, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Fourth Circuits.
