Tobin McClamroch

Tobin McClamroch is a Partner and leader of the Indiana public policy group in Dentons' Indianapolis office, specialising in Government Contracts. He helps companies, government agencies and charter school operators navigate the complexities of government relations and lobbying at all levels.

Toby provides general corporate advisory work and draws on his transactional experience to guide clients through government-related matters, including negotiating and securing government contracts, and representing corporate clients and professional associations before local, state and federal governments. He also serves as general counsel to counties, cities, towns and municipal agencies, supporting them in litigation, economic development and lobbying matters. In his charter school practice, he advocates on behalf of operators at all levels of government and within their communities.

Toby holds a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (1980) and a B.A. in Religion from DePauw University.

He was previously Vice President and Majority Leader of the Indianapolis City-County Council and serves as a board member of several organisations, including Marian University (President), Special Olympics of Indiana, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and the Indianapolis Airport Authority Board. He is recognised by The Best Lawyers in America in Government Relations Practice (2024–2026) and Government Contracts (2026).
