Timothy J. Nichols

Timothy J. (TJ) Nichols is a Senior Managing Associate in Dentons' Employment and Labor practice, based in Short Hills. He represents clients in state and federal court and before administrative agencies across the country, with a particular focus in New Jersey and New York.

He has represented clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and employment contracts. He advises clients on workforce reductions and provides labor and employment advice to deal teams in corporate transactions. Notable successes include obtaining summary judgment dismissing all claims against a client in a Title VII action, vacating a default judgment on procedural grounds, and securing a discharge and dismissal in an interpleader action.

TJ holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law (2019), where he graduated as salutatorian, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, and served on the Seton Hall Law Review's Executive Board. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan (2016), graduating with highest distinction.
