Stephanie Murtagh

Stephanie Murtagh is a Senior Managing Associate in the firm's Health Care Law practice, based in the Los Angeles office. She routinely counsels for-profit and nonprofit hospitals, health systems, and large physician groups on a variety of regulatory and compliance matters, with a focus on telemedicine, digital health, remote patient monitoring, and virtual care.

She provides strategic advice on Medicare and Medicaid fee-for-service reimbursement, billing, and coding, as well as professional licensure, scope of practice, and physician and clinician relationships. She also represents clients in administrative litigation, including ALJ appeals, and has significant experience implementing corporate compliance programs and managing corporate integrity agreements. Prior to joining Dentons, she was a Legal Fellow in the Health Affairs & Technology Law Group at the University of California's Office of General Counsel.

Stephanie holds a J.D. from UCLA School of Law (2017) and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University (2012). She has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America - Ones to Watch in Health Care Law (2026-2027) and by The Legal 500 in Healthcare Service Providers (2025).
