Ryan J. Zucchetto

Ryan J. Zucchetto is a Partner in Dentons' Tax Advisory Law practice, based in the New York office. He focuses on financial and transactional tax matters, serving as tax counsel to issuers, underwriters, and investors in residential mortgage-backed securities transactions involving performing loans and non-performing loans, as well as mortgage servicing rights, shared appreciation mortgages, and other mortgage-related asset classes.

He has been involved in creating innovative securitization and investment structures, often involving real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMICs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs). He frequently serves as tax counsel to investment funds that originate or acquire mortgage-related or real estate-related assets. Ryan is actively involved in the Structured Finance Association and serves as co-chair of its Tax Policy Committee.

He holds a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2012), an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (2013), and a B.A. from Michigan State University (2006). He has been ranked Band 2 for Capital Markets: Securitization: Tax by Chambers USA and Chambers Global (2023-2026) and recommended by The Legal 500 US for Tax: Financial Products.
