Phil (Phillip) D. Scott

Phil (Phillip) D. Scott is a Senior Partner in Dentons' Litigation Department in Lexington, focusing on commercial litigation and representing business clients in federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings. He has significant experience in equine and health care matters, and served as co-chairman of Bingham Greenebaum and Doll from 2012 to 2014.

He has acted as lead counsel in significant disputes involving equine interests, including bankruptcy matters, and has advised administrators and boards of directors of health care institutions. He has also represented clients in the acquisition of real estate for equine businesses and in matters involving foreign interest in developing thoroughbred breeding and racing operations in the United States.

Phil holds a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law (1967) and an A.B. from Hanover College (1964). He served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970.
