Mordecai Boone

Mordecai Boone is a Partner in the firm's San Francisco office. His primary practice area is Product Liability Law, and his practice encompasses litigation across multiple areas including product liability, commercial, complex tort, toxic tort, consumer class actions, environmental, food labelling and liability, and intellectual property.

Often asked to defend his clients' interests as national counsel in cases across the country or as regional counsel for cases in the western states, he has represented many Fortune 500 companies as trial counsel. His trial skills and preparation consistently yield favourable results for clients. Industries defended as national counsel include insurance, food product importing and exporting, consumer electronics, tobacco, pharmaceutical, fire suppression, occupational safety equipment, food manufacturing, asbestos, chemical and security systems.

As a former U.S. Navy JAG Corps officer, he began his legal career trying courts-martial in San Diego and has since appeared in trial and appellate courts nationwide. He has written and lectured on legal topics such as alternative litigation financing, food labelling litigation and ethics.

He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). He holds a JD, magna cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law (1993) and a BA, cum laude, from Fort Hays State University (1990).
