Karen M. Jordan

Karen M. Jordan is the Office Managing Partner of Dentons' St. Louis office and a Partner in the firm's Corporate Law practice. She advises corporate clients in a wide range of corporate, public finance, corporate finance, real estate, and securities transactions.

Ms. Jordan has represented underwriters, borrowers, issuers, and political subdivisions in public finance transactions totaling in excess of US$15 billion, focusing on project financing for commercial facilities, real estate developments, health care facilities, senior living and retirement facilities, airports, utilities, manufacturing facilities, sports facilities, governmental and cultural facilities, and educational institutions. She also represents corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions, financing and investment transactions, and general corporate matters, with extensive experience in corporate procurement. She has represented issuers in both private and public offerings, including IPOs and equity and debt offerings, and advises nonprofit corporations on structure, governance, and compliance issues.

Karen holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law (2000), where she served as Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri (1997). She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in Banking and Finance Law (2020-2026), named a MCCA Rising Star (2023), and received the St. Louis Business Journal's Most Influential Women in Business award (2021).

She serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis County Land Bank, St. Louis Community Foundation, St. Louis Arc, YWCA of Metro St. Louis, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated.
