Jason T. Ams

Jason T. Ams is a Partner in Dentons' Lexington office and a member of the Litigation practice, focusing on commercial litigation and regulatory compliance across federal and state levels.

He works with companies on regulatory issues including health care compliance, federal and state privacy protections, and occupational safety, and regularly advises cannabis businesses in Kentucky on commercial, operational and regulatory compliance matters. He has practiced before multiple state and local agencies and has served as lead counsel in administrative hearings, civil actions and appeals. He also assists with contract drafting, procedure and policy formation, and construction disputes involving contract completion, payment and lien filings.

Jason holds a J.D., magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky (2007), where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and a B.S., summa cum laude in Political Science from Murray State University (2004).

He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation (2020–2026) and was named a Kentucky Super Lawyers Rising Star (2013–2019). He has completed forty-hour mediator training certification through Northern Kentucky University.
