Jacob Styburski

Jacob Styburski is a Partner in Dentons' Corporate practice group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, cross-border transactions, and complex commercial contracts. He represents both public and private companies across a variety of industries, with particular expertise in the manufacturing, cannabis, and startup sectors.

He regularly acts as a strategic advisor to clients on legal, operational, and financing issues, and serves as outside general counsel to several clients on day-to-day employment, tax, intellectual property, real estate, and compliance matters. Notable transactions include representing Green Leaf Medical in its $450 million sale to Columbia Care; representing Cura Partners in its sale to Curaleaf, the largest cannabis industry transaction at the time of its announcement at just under $1 billion; representing Sky Zone, LLC in its sale to Circustrix; and representing a French postal service in a convertible debt investment in an Egyptian parcel delivery company through a U.S. holding company. He also regularly negotiates joint ventures, licensing arrangements, debt and equity raises, and supply and manufacturing agreements.

Jacob holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (2016) and a B.A. in Literature, magna cum laude, from Carleton College (2013).
