J. Mark Grundy

J. Mark Grundy is a Partner in the firm's Construction Law practice, based in the Louisville office. He concentrates his practice in business litigation and dispute resolution, with significant experience in construction law representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. He also handles contract, commercial, estate, real estate, trade secret, employee benefit, and products liability matters.

Mr. Grundy has served as construction counsel for the Louisville Arena Authority for a state-of-the-art arena project and has litigated numerous cases before federal, state, and administrative courts. He has established new law in class action removal and certification, interpretation of long-term supply agreements, and Kentucky evidentiary standards. He has obtained significant trial results, including one of the largest jury verdicts in a Kentucky business case in recent years.

Mark holds a J.D. from the University of Louisville (1988) and a B.A. from the University of Louisville (1981). He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation and Litigation - Trusts and Estates, Chambers USA in Litigation: General Commercial, and the Kentucky Super Lawyers lists, and has been named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America. He serves as Chair of the firm's Partnership Board and holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
