David J. Papier

David J. Papier is a Partner in Dentons' Short Hills office, focusing on corporate and securities law with more than 30 years of experience counseling public and private companies, venture capital funds and investment banking firms.

He advises on a broad array of transactions, including public and private debt and equity offerings, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, corporate spin-outs and bank financings. He has represented clients including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Houlihan Lokey, as well as leading venture capital funds including Battery Ventures, Blumberg Capital and Edison Partners. Notable matters include advising PayPal on its acquisition of Curv Ltd., representing SAP AG on numerous acquisitions, representing DoubleVerify Inc. on a majority investment by Providence Equity Partners of approximately US$200 million, and representing Marsden Group in its acquisition by Microsoft.

David holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (1988) and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Yeshiva University (1985).
