Curtis E. Woods

Curtis E. Woods is a Partner in Dentons' Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution and White Collar and Government Investigations practices, focusing on complex civil, commercial and white collar criminal litigation.

With over 35 years of trial experience, he has tried more than 40 cases before juries and judges in federal and state courts. His practice encompasses competition and antitrust, business torts, class action, intellectual property, fraud, RICO, securities, unfair competition, qui tam and franchise termination litigation. Notable successes include securing the acquittal of a client in a criminal mortgage fraud conspiracy case after a one-month jury trial, achieving an acquittal in a two-month criminal price-fixing conspiracy trial, and obtaining a jury verdict in favor of a client in a $22 million breach of stock option case. He has also represented clients in grand jury investigations and handled post-trial motions and appeals across the country.

Curtis holds a J.D., cum laude and Order of the Coif from Northwestern University School of Law (1975), where he served as executive editor of the Northwestern University Law Review.

He is recognized by Chambers USA for Commercial Litigation and White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations, and listed in Best Lawyers in America in Antitrust Law, Commercial Litigation, Bet-the-Company Litigation and White Collar Criminal Litigation.
