Brian L.S. MacKinnon

Brian L.S. MacKinnon is a Partner in Dentons' San Francisco/Oakland office, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. He concentrates his practice in the areas of finance, real estate and corporate law.

Brian has represented banks, lenders and other parties in a variety of commercial, banking, real estate, public finance and project finance transactions, including financings relating to commercial real estate development, affordable housing development and solar and other renewable energy projects across the United States. He has negotiated agreements in connection with construction loans, permanent loans, loan modifications, workouts, solar site leasing and subleasing, and other renewable energy matters. He has also advised corporate and nonprofit entities on structure, governance and compliance issues.

Brian holds a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis (2006), where he was a member of the Washington University Law Review, and a B.A. in Anthropology from Dartmouth College (1999).
