Anna Isernia

Anna Isernia is a Managing Associate in the firm's General Commercial Litigation practice group, based in the Washington, DC office, specializing in Arbitration and Mediation. She focuses on international dispute resolution, state and federal trial and appellate litigation, and ESG regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in investment treaty arbitration and ICSID proceedings.

Ms. Isernia has represented a group of leading international arbitration scholars in filing an amicus brief before the US Supreme Court on the enforceability of international arbitration agreements, a Swiss investor in a mining investment dispute involving a voluntary suspension of a mining permit, and a foreign real estate investor in a prospective ICSID arbitration arising from an embezzlement scheme. She has also conducted supply chain risk analysis for an international beverage company to ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks. She speaks Italian and German fluently and has worked on French insurance litigation and Spanish international arbitrations.

Anna holds a J.D., cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law (2021), where she competed in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court competition, and a B.A. from Colorado State University (2015). She previously clerked for the Larimer County District Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals, and served as a Special Legal Assistant to Draft Commissioner Grossman of the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva.
