Amy S. Montgomery

Amy S. Montgomery is a Shareholder at Dentons Davis Brown, based in the Des Moines office, practicing in Real Estate Law. She has over a decade of experience advising clients on real estate, financing, and business transactional matters, including residential and commercial acquisitions, sales, closings, planning and zoning, title review and issuance, financing, easements, restrictive covenants, leases, and purchase agreements.

Ms. Montgomery is an authorized field issuer for Iowa Title Guaranty, allowing her to underwrite and issue residential title policies directly to clients. She also advises on business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and contract drafting and negotiation across various industries. She provides general counsel to telecommunications companies, including regulatory matters before the Iowa Utilities Board and FCC, and frequently works with lenders on abstract examination, loan documentation, foreclosures, and closings.

Amy holds a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law (2010), a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University Barnard College (2008), and studied international law abroad at Oxford University (2009). She currently serves as Chair of the Real Estate Department and Co-Chair of the Emerging Companies Department. She has been recognized by Chambers USA in Real Estate (Band 4, 2023-2026) and by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Real Estate Law, Technology Law, Venture Capital Law, and Public Finance Law.
