Amy Dunstan, Ph.D.

Amy Dunstan, Ph.D. is a Senior Patent Agent in Dentons' Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Her work focuses on Patent Law, specifically the preparation and prosecution of US and foreign patent applications in the field of biotechnology.

Amy has drafted and prosecuted patent applications covering a range of technologies, including pharmaceutical agents, molecular diagnostics, chemical agents and methods, and recombinant nucleic acids and proteins. She also has experience with inter partes reviews and other post-grant proceedings.

Prior to joining Dentons, Amy was a patent agent at Jackson Walker, L.L.P. Her doctoral work focused on the development of high-resolution structures of ligand-receptor interactions using multi-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and computer modeling.

She holds a PhD in Biology from Brown University and a BA in Biophysical Chemistry and German from Dartmouth College. She is a registered patent agent.
