Alice F. Yurke

Alice F. Yurke is a Partner in Dentons' Capital Markets practice group, based in the New York office, practicing in Securities Law. Her practice covers exchange-traded and over-the-counter structured and derivative products, including equity and credit, fund-linked, crypto-linked, foreign exchange, and commodity-linked structures in the US and offshore markets, advising financial institutions, private funds, and corporate end users on products for hedging, arbitrage, balance sheet management, and liquidity purposes.

Ms. Yurke has deep experience in liquidity, credit support, and risk transfer arrangements, as well as leveraged finance, risk-based capital, and bankruptcy and workout-related issues in derivatives and loan transactions. She advises on the regulation of commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisers, futures commission merchants, and cryptocurrency and crypto derivative regulation, as well as Dodd-Frank-related regulatory concerns. Notable representations include advising the Special Committee of Inter Pipeline Ltd. on a successful auction process resulting in a CA$15 billion acquisition by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, and advising a hospital system on modifying 57 swap agreements in connection with an underlying debt restructuring.

Alice holds a J.D. from Columbia University Law School (1987) and a B.A. from Wellesley College (1984). She has been recognized as a 100 Leading Lawyer in New York City by Crain's New York Business (2018) and on the New York Metro Area Super Lawyers list.
