Alan J. Dansker

Alan J. Dansker is a Partner in the firm's Health Care Law practice, based in the Indianapolis office. He serves as outside special and general counsel for privately held businesses and individuals nationwide, with a career that evolved from a focus in tax and employee benefits to comprehensive corporate counsel for health care clients and other businesses.

Mr. Dansker has represented health care clients in entity structuring, business transactions, joint ventures, ambulatory surgical centers, and physician networks, navigating the complex and ever-changing regulatory landscape. He previously served as inside general counsel to a cardiology group during its expansion from six to over 75 physicians, which included the formation of various joint ventures. He also advises real estate developers on health care-related projects, coordinating legal teams for acquisition, construction, and financing.

Alan holds a J.D., summa cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (1977) and a B.S. in Finance, with high distinction, from Indiana University (1974). He is recognized in Chambers USA in Healthcare (2025-2026) and The Best Lawyers in America in Health Care Law (2015-2027) and Corporate Law (2023-2027), and has been listed in Indiana Super Lawyers. He is a Past Chairman of the Taxation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and past President of the Indianapolis Humane Society.
